The Solution

ClearScale engineered an intelligent, event-driven automation platform powered by Generative AI on AWS. The solution replaces the entire manual sourcing and evaluation workflow with a highly efficient, serverless architecture. The infrastructure is deployed and managed as code using Terraform, ensuring reproducibility and rapid recovery.

The workflow operates as follows:

  1. Initiation - A recruiter sends an email to a dedicated Amazon SES endpoint. The email contains the client's job description as an attachment, and the email body can include additional context
  2. Processing Trigger - The incoming email to SES triggers ClearScale's proprietary automation engine.
  3. AI-Powered Analysis - The engine uses a Large Language Model and a specialized agent to parse the job description and email body, breaking them down into a precise set of search keywords and qualification criteria.
  4. Secure Data Scraping - The system retrieves credentials for a third-party data scraping API (Bright Data) from AWS Secrets Manager. It then uses this API to search for and download candidate profiles that match the criteria.
  5. Candidate Evaluation - For each profile downloaded, the system spawns a separate AWS Lambda function. An AI agent running on this function performs a detailed evaluation of the candidate's profile against the job description. It generates a quantitative score from 1-10 and a qualitative analysis, highlighting the candidate's specific strengths, weaknesses, and other notable attributes
  6. Reporting - Once all profiles are evaluated, the system compiles the results into a single report. It then sends an email response back to the recruiter containing a stack-ranked list of all candidates, their scores, and the detailed AI-generated analysis.
