This is a dynamic role with a high emphasis on being self-motivated to solve the task at hand. There is no ‘typical day’ on our Development team as new challenges arise daily. You will ensure that strong development processes are being followed and solutions integrate best-practice architectures. You will take ownership to identify and resolve any gaps in process or applications.
You will work closely with coworkers in our global offices and across multiple time zones on the constantly evolving mission to deliver the most reliable and robust systems in the industry. The team is constantly innovating and adopting new approaches and technologies to improve efficiency and robustness of applications. You will serve as a technical lead for a team of developers and provide architectural insights to our clients.
Your first assignment will be a 2-year-long engagement for a massive migration to AWS. The migration will include re-factoring numerous applications to migrate from Oracle and DB2 to Amazon Aurora. You will be part of the distributed team, responsible for preparing infrastructure, re-hosting applications, re-designing, load testing, migration of high-load applications, workload optimization, and operational support. The development frameworks are a majority Java (Java Spring, Java SpringBoot, JSP using Struts, Scala, Vertx, Golang, and Netty). Other technologies include Kubernetes (EKS), Redshift, Kinesis, Kinesis Analytics, Aurora, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Mongo, Hadoop/Spark, MSSQL, IIS, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Solr, Redis, Kubernetes, and a few more. You will work directly with our clients’ developers and act as a technical lead for remote team members.
